Wind turbine bases, Sheerness

Installation of reinforcement, formwork and concrete for four wind turbine bases. Each base was approximately 18m diameter and contained 60t of reinforcement and 350m3 of concrete. Works included placement of the main shaft base.

The works were carried out in one continuous visit over a period of eight weeks. The concrete was placed into each base in one continuous pour of circa 320m3 each.
